Privacy Policy

This page explains what information psamethod.com handles when you use the PSA Method Calculator.

Privacy choices and withdrawal

Google AdSense is paused. GA4 and Clarity wait for consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and when the region cannot be determined. Elsewhere they start automatically unless you have opted out.

Cloudflare determines the applicable region from request metadata. The same-origin /api/privacy-region endpoint returns only whether consent is required; it does not return an IP address or country and is not cached. No analytics loads before this check. Where consent is required, choose Visit statistics only, Allow all analytics, or Reject all analytics. Elsewhere no prompt opens automatically. Privacy & cookie settings remains available everywhere. Choices are saved as psa-analytics-consent-v2; earlier refusals and GA-only choices are preserved. Clearing site data causes the current region rules to apply again. An active Google consent service can impose additional restrictions. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not undo earlier processing.

Adsterra

When enabled, Adsterra serves a 300×250 banner below the homepage calculator and the reaction-time test. Its advertising partners may receive IP addresses, browser/device information and ad interactions, and may use cookies or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads. We do not load this banner in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or when the region is unknown. Elsewhere it can load after the region check, unless you have rejected analytics or selected visit statistics only. Allowing analytics in a consent-required region does not enable this banner. Open Privacy & cookie settings to stop the banner and future loads; this does not undo earlier processing or delete third-party cookies.

Scope and contact

This policy describes information handled when you visit psamethod.com. You can use our tools without creating an account, registering a profile, or making a payment. For privacy questions or requests concerning information you have sent us, use the contact page. Please describe the request without including passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.

Calculator inputs and local storage

Sensitivity calculations and reaction-time measurements run in your browser. The calculator keeps your starting sensitivity and round choices in sessionStorage under psa-session-v1 so a refresh or language change can restore progress in the same tab. Reset removes that record. The tools do not upload your sensitivity inputs or reaction scores to a results database. Browser storage restrictions may prevent progress restoration, but do not require you to create an account.

Basic website requests

Serving a page or static file requires the hosting provider to receive request information such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL, and request time. Such information may be processed for delivery, security, and troubleshooting. This is separate from optional advertising and usage analytics. Avoid putting personal information in page URLs or query parameters.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Data collected:Page views and page addresses, visit times, session and engagement events, browser and device information, approximate location, and cookie-generated visitor and session identifiers. These data are sent to Google; _ga cookies may be used.

How we use it:To understand daily traffic, popular pages and visitor engagement, and improve the content and tools.

Google Analytics loads after your recorded permission where consent is required, or automatically elsewhere unless you opted out. It receives page-use and browser request information and may store _ga cookies to measure visits. It works on pages without advertising. Page addresses omit query strings and fragments, the referring URL is omitted, and Google signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled. You can withdraw through Privacy & cookie settings.

Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replay

Data collected:Page content and layout after masking, clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, navigation and event times, browser and device information, network request information such as IP address, and cookie-generated identifiers. These data are sent to Microsoft; _clck and _clsk cookies may be used.

How we use it:To create heatmaps and session replays, identify confusing navigation or unresponsive controls, and improve page layout and tool usability.

Microsoft Clarity loads after permission for recordings where consent is required, or automatically elsewhere unless you opted out. A saved visit-statistics-only choice prevents recording everywhere. It collects page interactions for heatmaps and session recordings; Microsoft receives usage and network information and may use _clck and _clsk cookies. When recording is enabled, analytics storage is granted and advertising storage is denied. Tool inputs and results are masked. Recording is not loaded when the initial or referring URL has potentially private query strings or fragments. Withdrawal stops recording but does not delete earlier data. Microsoft processes collected information under its Privacy Statement.

Advertising and third-party identifiers

When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or device identifiers to deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in advertising. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to this site and other websites. Personalized advertising depends on your choices and applicable requirements. Non-personalized advertising can also involve cookies or other storage; choosing it is not the same as blocking all storage.

Consent messages

For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, advertising choices are managed through a Google-certified consent platform when the published message is active. The message identifies the relevant vendors and purposes and offers the configured consent choices. A privacy policy or a generic cookie notice does not replace that process. This website keeps Google AdSense disabled by default until the operator configures that service. Adsterra is managed separately as described above. Tools and guides do not require accepting optional tracking.

External resources and links

The site loads typography from Google Fonts. Font requests disclose standard network information, including your IP address and browser details, to that provider. Links to game resources, data sources, and privacy controls lead to other sites with their own privacy practices. Following a contact email link opens your email application; messages you send may contain your email address and whatever information you choose to include.

Sensitive information and children

Our tools do not request precise geolocation, health information, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, payment details, or account passwords. We do not build audiences from tool inputs or sensitive information. The guides are general gaming information rather than a service specifically directed to children. Please do not submit children’s personal information through contact messages.

Retention and requests

Tool progress is limited to the browser tab’s session storage; browser behavior determines when a session ends. The analytics opt-out remains locally until cleared. Third-party cookies and service records follow the relevant provider’s retention practices and the account settings used by the site operator. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of correspondence you sent us, contact us from the relevant email address and identify the message. Available rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
